SCREENRED & MOTOROLA

In May of 2007 ScreenRed officially became a part of the Symbol PartnerSelect ISV Partner Program programme, now part of Motorola. The idea of the programme is to help complete an enterprise mobility solution with software applications for vertical markets including, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, travel and transportation, supply chain distribution, field services and government. ScreenRed will specifically bring its retail know-how to the table and will be developing solutions around using their leading digital signage software to target relevant one2one marketing messages received on Symbol devices, such as the MC17, Personal Shopping System and the MK1200 series.

ScreenRed was present at the recent Motorola Road Show across Europe, doing some demos of some of the integrated bar code scanner within an interactive device (using a touch screen to push messages and questions to customers, and be able to access the results of any interactivity in real time – enabling a retailer to gauge customer opinions on key store metrics and ask customers for feedback). Using all sorts of devices once a customer identifies him/herself a retailer can push advertisements and special offers relevant to that client’s profile and purchase history – something that until now has not been possible with an integration of any digital signage system. ScreenRed has now started development on what could turn out to be the a major breakthrough in local messaging in retail targeted to each individual – the “holy grail” and last mile yet to be conquered by technology integration.
